Reflections on the Journey

Life is a Journey. None of us have arrived. Arguably, we are all traveling...just at different stages along the way. These are some thoughts about the journey...as I see it. Grace and Peace.

About Me

Chris: I am a native of South Carolina. After serving in the Army for almost seven years (following High School), I tried my hand at a number of things. I did the "corporate" thing...and was a police officer for a while. Now, I serve as a pastor. It doesn't seem that glamorous...but I have the coolest "job" in the world. I have the privilege and opportunity to talk with people every day about how God loves them and has a plan for their lives. I am also the husband of Jodi for the last twenty years. We have two sons, Dillon and Hayden who are both great guys and becoming great men.

What your neighbors think about going to church...

How difficult have you found it to pray daily for the three names in your wallet?

Every week, I have ____ conversations with a non-believer? (A conversation is more than paying a cashier for gas or the bill at a restaurant...but may be less than sharing deeply on any number of subjects.)

The last time I shared my "God story" with someone and asked them about their salvation was:

I feel that tithing (giving 10% of my earning to my local church) is taught explicitly in the Bible.

Is "personal evangelism" (personally sharing the gospel with others so that they will become followers of Christ) something that God expects of all Christ-followers?

When it comes to Christmas, will you buy gifts based on what money you have...or will you purchase gifts (even on credit) and figure out how to pay for them later?
